Sketchup and Kerkythea May 5, 2008

I’m still learning the in’s and out’s of Sketchup. The below image is for a bid my brother is making for some landscaping. With this image I experimented with the Sandbox plugin to create the rolling landscape and found a free 3d renderer online called Kerkythea. Rendering 3d models basicly makes them look more lifelike but I’m not too sure the difference is all that great for someone looking to get some landscaping done. Oh well, it’s still fun to try out another program. I don’t know everything about Kerkythea or Sketchup, but this will do. My next thing to do is create a wall texture that matches the landscaping that my brother does and that should give people a nice realistic view of what they are going to get. This should give him an edge over other landscapers in the area. Not to mention the quality of his work.
